Welcome Fellow Social Studies Nerds!

I would like to share a few words about the aim of this site and about us.  We've designed this site to provide for you video clips that will help you in planning video clips for lessons in your social studies class without having to watch whole movies. It also provides a resource for finding other clips from movies that you might not have considered before.  We watch the movies, make sure it does not cuss or have anything really foul that would cause problems in your class, and tell you where in the movie you can find the clip.  If we can we will find a youtube clip and link that to the post.  Also we will attempt to give you a SOL for the clip in case that is something you might need.  Finally, we want this to be a place where you can share with us things that you have found.  Feel free to leave a comment about what has worked for you and we will run the treatment and post it here.  The hope is that we can find clips from movies that are not just social studies related.  It might allow you to bring in different movies that you have at home rather than the hum-drum, tried and true schoolish movies.
